This project will contribute to the extension of the metro system in Delhi, the capital of India.The project involves the construction of 102 kilometers of modern metro, with new trains. The project also includes the installation of an electronic ticketing system and centralized and coordinated train control.The aim is to substitute conventional modes of transport with the metro, a safer, faster, more efficient and more reliable means of transport. It will help to reduce air pollution, a major health issue in a country where air pollution kills around 2 million people each year. The project will avoid an average of 516 307 tCO2eq per year.
