green energy uk reviews

Green Energy UK (GEUK) was the first green energy provider in the UK to sell 100% green electricity and biogas. First launched in 2001, the company is committed to providing clean energy, protecting the environment and UK wildlife. It remains the only green supplier across the UK to supply 100% biogas and often tops polls of best energy suppliers within the industry. But what do the consumers think? Find out in this post!

What tariffs does Green Energy UK offer?

Before we look at the customer reviews, we’ll give you a brief overview of the tariffs and rates available should you decide to take them into account when switching to a green energy provider.

Currently, Green Energy UK offers two fixed price tariffs for domestic customers. That means that you will pay the same for your energy throughout the duration of your contract, even if the wholesale market fluctuates, as it has done in 2021. Both tariffs are available as electricity only or as a dual package - electricity and gas.

For payment, GEUK offers various options, including fixed and variable Direct Debit. The fixed option means you’ll pay an annual energy usage estimate split into 12 equal monthly payments while the variable payment option means you’ll pay for the energy you have used for the month based on meter readings at the end of the month.

Is Green Energy UK a good company?

According to company review website, Trustpilot, GEUK scores very highly among its customers with an average rating of 4.4 out of a maximum of 5. From more than 1,000 reviews about GEUK on the site, nearly three-quarters (72%) rate it as ‘excellent’, while almost 9 out of ten (87%) consumers say it is either ‘excellent’ or ‘great’.

The best way to analyse whether a company is good or not is to hear from other clients. In this section, you can read some of the comments made by Green Energy UK customers in 2021 and see for yourself if they are happy with their green supplier.

A great company to work with - sound ethics, very responsive to any queries, with bills that are clear and comprehensible. We're very happy that we've chosen GEUK as our green energy supplier for our small business.

Trustpilot

GEUK have been brilliant ever since we transferred across to them. They respond quickly and efficiently when I contact them for information or if I have a query. I have tried a few providers of green energy. They are the first that have offered green electricity and gas! They are deserving of the 5 stars!

Trustpilot

I have only been with this company for a short while, but being in receipt of their actions I am wedded to them. Their pricing is so fair and their customer care is outstanding, nothing is too much trouble for them. They are considerate, friendly and extremely, extremely efficient. It makes such a difference I would thoroughly recommend this company.

Trustpilot

Is there any negative feedback?

When looking at the feedback from customers, the issue of pricing sometimes appears. However, as we all become more conscious about how to do our part to reduce climate change and overcome the problems created by global warming, many customers say they are happy to pay slightly more to a company that is ethical and looks after the environment. Here are a couple of examples:

I signed up with this supplier in their very early days and have throughout found them responsive and reliable in their communications. They are not the cheapest, but when ethics drives one's choices, they are the best.

Trustpilot

Green Energy has been great, no complaints at all. We picked them even when they were a bit more expensive than others because of the true green gas.

I am so glad that I moved to GEUK, the customer service is great and better than any company that I have previously used. They have been so helpful in everything I have spoken to them. Fair prices, excellent customer service and the reassurance that the energy we pay for is as green as it can be. We shall stick with Green Energy.
